Fiduciary standards of care assesment for  those people responsible for the management of funds that are not theirs,

Many of our clients are responsible as fiduciaries for the management of funds that are not theirs. Individuals and firms that are responsible for trusts, foundations, endowments, qualified plans and charitable organizations or are on boards for these organizations have unique responsibilities and liabilities in the proper management of their funds. Segue has an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst(tm) Designee available for it's clients.

With training in both fiduciary standards of care and assesment procedure, AIFA(tm) Designees are able to employ analytical processes to assess critical areas of an investment steward's responsibilities, such as:

Selection of service provider

Investment committee roles and responsibilities

Governance processes

Investment evaluation and selection processes

Investment fees and service costs

Performance review protocols

Documentation of investment processes and decisions

Risk management process

Compliance with regulatory requirements

Conflict of interest policies

Unfortunately, most people serving are not aware as to whether or not they are an investment steward and what their responsibilties are.

Expert Witness Services

Segue can provide staff in the areas of trust administration and fiduciary investment process that are comfortable drafting opinions and giving testimony or depositions. Engagement begans with initial consultation and can then leverage that review through any other services the client would need. Staff has experience in multiple states.

Individual Portfolio Assesment for Fees and Performance

Fee by the hour financial and investment advice for individuals. Many have found this to be a much more effective solution then those professionals that charge fees for assets under management. While a million dollar portfolio is typically charged $10,000 annually at a 1% mangement fee. A quarterly hour review could only cost $1,000 annually. Segue also can provide financial planning advice by the hour with a Certified Financial Planner(tm) Designee.
